Mount Isa Village has launched its “Sweeten the Season” Christmas promotion, a festive initiative aimed at spreading joy and giving back to the community this holiday season.

This week, shoppers at Mount Isa Village can participate in the promotion by spending $10 or more at any participating store.

Customers can visit Santa’s helper at the candy cane stand with their receipts between 10am and 2pm to receive a Christmas scratch card.

Each card offers a chance to win fantastic prizes or make a donation to local community groups.

This year, Mount Isa Village Shopping Centre has nominated three local community groups to be supported by the Mount Isa community throughout the Sweeten the Season promotion.

North West Breast Cancer Support Group, Royal Flying Doctors Service and Mount Isa RSL Queensland have the chance to receive donations from shoppers if a community donation is revealed on the scratch card.

The customer will have the chance of supporting the community group by placing the $2, $3 or $5 donation in the community group candy cane of their choice.

Customers will also have the opportunity of winning a prize for themselves, including coffee vouchers, retailer prizes and gift cards.

“We are thrilled to bring the Sweeten the Season promotion to Mount Isa Village,” said marketing manager Jodie Harris.

“This initiative not only rewards our customers but also supports our local community, embodying the true spirit of the holiday season.

“Giving to community groups is like adding a sprinkle of sugar to a Christmas recipe, making the season sweeter for everyone.”

At the end of the promotion, the total donations will be tallied and given to the community groups, making a meaningful difference in their work.
