Newcomer an impressive winner at Buchanan Park
Revolt lit up the sand track in his first start for Mount Isa trainer Jay Morris.

Could the North West have a new sprinting star?
The performance of Revolt at Mount Isa on Sunday, in his first start in the region, suggests there is a case to be made.
Formerly trained by Gerald Ryan and now in the care of Jay Morris after being bought by the Saunders family, the three-year-old was gelded before making the long trip to Mount Isa and appears to have settled in well.
Patience has paid off for Morris, who was originally hoping to send the sprinter to the $25,000 Artesian Express race at Julia Creek, only for the meeting to be postponed due to flooding.
While the $10,000 Benchmark 55 over 1000m at Buchanan Park was a little easier, the time posted by Revolt suggested he could be one to watch in 2025.
Ridden by Tessa Townsend, the four-year-old flew out of the gates to take an early lead, breaking up the field before putting the hammer down to win by four lengths.
Even with 63kg, Revolt stopped the clock in 58.51 seconds – one of the fastest times over 1000m at the track in the last 12 months.
Top sprinter Just Stop It, trained by Tanya Parry, won over the same distance on Sunday in 59.20.
Spoils were once again shared at Buchanan Park, with Kerry Krogh, Jason Babarovich and Denise Ballard also tasting success.
Townsend had a double in the saddle, while Babarovich, Courtney Ferris and David Sparks also rode winners.
