Tigers steamroll Rhinos in AFL Mount Isa competition
There were no close games at Legend Oval on Saturday.
The rain might have softened up Legend Oval on Saturday but it wasn’t enough to soften the blows inflicted on the Rhinos and Bats in a one-side round of the AFL Mount Isa competition.
The undermanned Rhinos had just 16 players in the opening game of the day and the Tigers showed sportsmanship to bring two players off the ground to even up the numbers.
Despite the gallant efforts of the men in pink and white, the Tigers were too strong, winning 15.18 (108) to 6.5 (41).
Premiership favourites Buffs also enjoyed a massive win, feasting on an understrength Lake Nash side in the later match.
The deadly accurate Buffs finished with 28.3 (171) to the Bats 6.2 (38).
This Saturday, the Tigers are scheduled to play the Bats, while the Dajarra Rhinos will do battle with the Buffs.
